Crime Analyst
The City of Eau Claire is currently accepting applications for a Crime Analyst position in the Police Department.
The Crime Analyst acquires, analyzes, prepares, and disseminates information relevant to actual and anticipated crime and disorder (including traffic crash data) in the community. Also will analyze internal data to increase department efficiency, and will conduct statistical studies.
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business or a related field in the area of analytical processes. Requires experience with the use of ArcGIS, basic programming (Python, VBA, SQL). Experience with relational database management systems (SQL, DB2, MS Access) is helpful.
Salary range: $41,722 – 52,308 annually plus excellent fringe benefits.

Job Description |
LOGIS (Local Government Information Systems Association), a Twin Cities metro area municipal consortium is seeking a GIS professional to assist in supporting the municipal GIS sites of its member cities.
Candidates for the position must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science or a closely related field, a thorough understanding of GIS concepts and knowledge of relational database operations. A minimum of 2 years experience in a hands-on GIS support position using Esri’s ArcGIS product suite, ArcGIS Server and related APIs is required. Must demonstrate an aptitude for working with ArcObjects, VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET/AJAX, JavaScript, Java Run-time Environments, SQL/T-SQL, IIS, XML.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of a municipal government environment is a plus.
The successful candidate will be expected to work in a team environment supporting a municipal government GIS user base through direct end-user support, application development, data management and integration, and documentation.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION - Mid-level Windows/Web applications developer that will work closely with a senior developer and/or the product manager, and other developers in a collaborative development environment to build end-to-end Windows and web applications. This position will involve working on LETG's Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Mobile, and Records Management System (RMS) applications.
JOB RESPOSIBILITIES - View specific project requirements, design and documentation of software in support of new product development, use of object oriented development practices, .NET Framework 3.5, WPF, WCF, Visual Studio 2008, SOAP, Multi-Tier Architecture, Web Services, Windows Services, development using C#, ASP.NET, ESRI MapObjects, ArcObjects, SDE and RDBMS such as MySQL, SQL Server or Oracle. Use ADO, OLEDB and writing applications that interact with large mission critical databases, develop code that communicates with both serial and IP socket protocols, use technologies as mentioned above to procure requirements, design, build and deploy scalable Windows and Web applications, write applications that involve GIS using C#, understanding of RDBMS and writing stored procedures in SQL Server or Oracle, position will also involve writing applications that are not GIS.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or GIS or equivalent experience required, 2-3 experience in ESRI MapObjects and ArcObjects, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, understanding of web technologies such as HTTP, SOAP and XML.
